UTSIP scholarship amount:  JPY 110,000 (1,300 CAD)

Go Global fee and withdrawal policy

If you are accepted by a host university for a structured research program, you will be asked to confirm your participation in the program and you will be charged the Go Global fee of $415. The fee will be posted to your SSC account following confirmation of your acceptance. Go Global will contact you with complete information on how to pay the fee.

You will not be able to make payment in-person at Brock Hall (Vancouver), University Centre (Okanagan), the Go Global office or your financial institution. You cannot pay this fee directly through your financial institution’s online banking interface as payments made through this method will only be counted towards your tuition and your Go Global fee will remain unpaid.

Students who withdraw from a research abroad program due to extenuating circumstances or within 15 days of the fee being posted are eligible for a fee adjustment from $415 to $93.25.

Transfer credit

UBC does not recognize credit for Research Abroad programs and does not grant transfer credit for these experiences. If a partner university offers credit for your Research Abroad program, save the transcript or certificate of completion for your future records.
