Graduating from one program at UBC is an accomplishment for any student. But Ginah Choi took that to a new level. The 23-year-old from Langley just graduated from UBC in June as a prestigious Corbett Scholar (2020) and participated in a Go Global student exchange. Choi also did a stint as a work-learn student in 2019 for the UBC Vancouver Summer Program.

The Corbett British Columbia-Washington International Exchange Program helps scholars develop an appreciation for the mutually beneficial U.S.-Canada relationship and shared regional values of the Pacific Northwest. Go Global is a unit of UBC's Office of the Vice-Provost International with programs that broaden perspectives, nurture worldwide connections and develop critical thinking skills for both UBC and international students. Programs include research and study abroad, virtual global seminars, student exchange, conferences and research. Vancouver Summer Program offers international undergraduates a four-week experience on the Vancouver UBC campus combining academics with social and cultural activities.

Next up for Choi is a career in the consumer packaged goods industry as a trade marketing analyst, she says.
