Partner Appreciation Reception on the 50th anniversary of
diplomatic relations between Canada & Vietnam

Please join us at a reception at the Grand Mercure Hanoi to celebrate
our educational partnerships with Vietnam on Tuesday, May 23.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Canada and Vietnam. As Canada’s educational gateway to Asia, UBC is proud to host this special reception in appreciation of the academic partnerships and people-to-people relationships we have forged with Vietnam over the past half-century. It is an occasion to meet face-to-face with our friends old and new and deepen our connections. Most of all, it is an opportunity for us to thank those faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners whose efforts have fostered understanding and strengthened collaboration.

UBC leaders and Canadian diplomatic missions will share their visions of engagement with Vietnam at the reception. UBC alumni, students and scholars will also speak about their experiences with UBC and their passion for establishing personal and professional networks with Vietnam.
