PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE

We offer strategic advice and support on global partnership agreements and relevant processes at UBC, acting as a central coordinator. We also take care of partnership renewals when needed. To simplify the partnership process by making it efficient and user-friendly, we created the Global Partnerships Facilitation Group (GPFG), a service-centred advisory group that identifies relevant and clear pathways for partnership agreement development. By bringing together representatives from several key units across campus who regularly work on a broad range of partnership agreements—from basic Memoranda of Understanding to industry-funded research agreements—the GPFG provides expert, comprehensive guidance in navigating these processes at UBC.

PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

We are here to help UBC faculty and staff with innovative global endeavors locally, virtually and internationally. We assist in developing a wide range of programs—from transformative educational experiences to capacity-development initiatives and international conferences and events. We can also guide the creation of business proposals, project plans and agreements, working closely with partner units across campus as needed. Programs we support may involve one or more international or local partners, or may simply be global in scope or subject.

If you have a program idea and need support getting it off the ground, we want to hear from you. To start the conversation, get in touch with Cheryl Dumaresq, Executive Director, Global Engagement, at the Office of the Global Engagement.

FACULTY-LED GLOBAL EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES

We can assist in putting together transformative learning experiences in global contexts, on global issues, to educate students as global citizens, critical thinkers and future leaders ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

Global Seminars
Global Seminars offer UBC faculty members the opportunity to move the classroom to a location that deepens students’ learning. UBC faculty run global seminars, often with support from partners in academia, industry or cultural institutions. These can be credit-bearing, a full course or a segment of a course. To get started, faculty can apply to run a global seminar.
