UBC staff can apply to receive a £2,500 grant from the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the SDGs Challenge Grants fund

Do you have an idea for a project, workshop or event to help support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda?

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Higher Education and the SDGs Challenge Grants fund collaborative work for professional and academic staff at member universities. The grants focus on the priorities of the ACU Higher Education and the SDGs Network including: 

  • Teaching and learning
  • Research
  • Estates and stewardship
  • Engagement and impact
  • Partnerships

From sourcing energy-saving and clean energy options for Fijian schools to supporting women's economic empowerment by addressing the financial literacy and gender-based disparities in access to finance, the grants have been used to fund a diverse range of activities, projects, workshops and events.

Four grants of £2,500 British pounds (approximately $4,000 Canadian dollars) are available to successful applicants.
