If you are a UBC student who has dreamt about studying oversees, but thought it was out of reach, now is your chance to find funding. Apply for Go Global’s 2023-24 Pathfinder Award by Nov. 4.
Designed to support underrepresented students with conflicting financial constraints, family obligations, community or personal commitments that could rule out the possibility of an international exchange, the Pathfinder Award is granting $2,000 for Go Global summer programs and $5,000 for term-based exchanges to offset travel and study costs. The awards will total $100,000 in all for the 2023-24 academic year: $50,000 for Canadian students and the same amount for international students.
To be eligible, all students must apply for the award before apply to a Go Global program. Go Global will then notify successful applicants before the Go Global program application deadlines, so they can make decisions based on funding available. There is no fee to apply for the Pathfinder Award.
