The ACAM 390A Food and the Heritage of Chinese Migrations class gathered over Malaysian food face-to-face for the first time after meeting online for the Go Global Virtual Global Seminar. While the program ran 100% virtually over the summer, the students made new friends and created thoughtful community engagement and storytelling projects oriented around food, migration and belonging. Started in 2004, the summer seminars have been running for 17 years. Global Seminars are one of the ways UBC is fulfilling its new global engagement strategy, In Service, which aims to develop students as global citizens both at home and abroad. (Photo: Go Global)
