UBC & Germany strengthen ties, President visits Smart Hydrogen Energy District

UBC's Faculty of Applied Science hosted Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of Germany, as part of his first official visit to Canada last spring. President Steinmeier toured Applied Science’s new hydrogen research platform and met researchers working on clean energy and climate change solutions, including engineering experts collaborating with German research institutions.
