Talented scholars from around the globe get to spend up to one month at the University of St Andrews' scenic, historical campus in Fife, Scotland through the Global Fellowship Scheme. St Andrews is the oldest of Scotland's four ancient universities, and the third-oldest in the English-speaking world after Oxford and Cambridge.

Now in its fourth year and accepting applications for 2022-23, the Global Fellowship Scheme funds the time at St Andrews for Global Fellows to undertake a course of research and study, explore potential collaborations, enhance existing relationships, advance research work and find the space to think in an inspirational environment. Applicants must be recognised as significant scholars in their field or emerging leaders who have made a contribution to original research that extends the frontier of knowledge. From Aug. 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023, Global Fellows visit St Andrews in person. They engage as well virtually with students and colleagues throughout the 2022-23 academic year. St Andrews provides all awardees with a stipend during their stay, self-catered accommodation, return airfare and airport transfers.
