Following the announcement that the Government of Canada will begin formal negotiations to expand collaboration among Canadian and European research and innovation partners under the Horizon Europe program, the UBC Office of the Vice Provost International is pleased to invite members of the UBC research community to a Horizon Europe information session. The Horizon Europe program is the European Commission’s latest research and innovation framework program. With a budget of €95.5 billion ($139 billion CAD), the 2021-2027 program focuses on evidence-based solutions to global challenges, bringing a plethora of new opportunities for international collaborations to Canadian researchers and innovators.
Luigi Scarpa de Masellis, Senior Advisor, Trade and Economic Section, Delegation of the European Union to Canada, will lead the session for faculty, postdoctoral fellows and PhD students from across the disciplinary spectrum, giving an overview of insights and opportunities in collaborating with European partners through Horizon Europe.

12-12:45 pm: Information session
12:45-1:30pm: Networking over snacks and refreshments
Format: Hybrid (on campus and online). We will record the session and share it with registrants after the event.
